In this installation I reconstructed the knowledge of which my grandfather, as a griot or storyteller,

was the guardian, in order to be able to pass it on again.

His source was a now lost book, in which not only the history but also the future was described. Narratives of what my mother still remembers are translated on these story cloths.

The predictions still have an important meaning today: “ there will come a time when we will leave

for Europe; that various nations will come into conflict with each other; there will also be a revolution”.
